Winter Magic Series at The Groveland Hotel Returns
Fall is in the air and it almost seems like magic is in the air around here. Well, it’s partly true as we prepare for our Winter Magic Series for the 2015-2016 season! As you experience Yosemite in winter be sure to add this series to your calendar.
We’re bringing world-class magicians to Groveland where you can enjoy dinner and quite a spectacular show filled with illusions, comedy, and feats of magic. The season kicks off on Saturday, Oct. 24 and runs through mid-March in 2016. The cost is only $10 with the purchase of a dinner entrée and all shows begin at 7 p.m.
Our impressive lineup this year includes:
- Alan Leeds: Leeds is an award-winning magician having won the Bay Area Close-up Master Magician of the Year in 2013 and 2014. Leeds wins over his audience by performing his tricks right at the table or even asking audience members to participate in his gimmicks. Not only will he make you question what you just saw, his personality and showmanship is unparalleled. Leeds performs at The Groveland Hotel on Saturday, Oct. 24.
- Jimmy H: As much of a comedy act as an illusionist, Jimmy H is a master magician and holds several awards and accolades and has made several television appearances for his work. If he can’t captivate you with sleight of hand routines, his comedy stylings will certain capture your attention. Jimmy H performs on Saturday, Nov. 21.
- Heather Rogers: Rogers kicks off 2016 with her alluring magic and style unlike any other magician. Rogers’ previous performance at The Groveland Hotel sold out and we expect this performance to be no different. Rogers combines magic, comedy, and a bit of music and dance into her shows and it’s a massive hit with audiences everywhere. Rogers performs Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016.
- Robert Baxt: Baxt’s shows blend his magical talents with his training as an actor as he wins over audiences with his humor and entertaining style. Baxt started his performing career as a child, delighting his family with his balloon twisting and comedy and eventually receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Theater. Baxt has performed all over the globe, appeared in television shows, and even learned Japanese to entertain a global audience. Baxt performs Saturday, March 19.
